To cruise or not to cruise
Here it goes…. This past April we went on our very first cruise. It was so amazing!! We took a seven day cruise through the Carribean. Our stops were Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.
I was a little nervous about getting on a ship and not being able to get off for 7 days!! Let me just tell you that there is so much to do on that ship that you barely have any time to think that you’re in the middle of the ocean. It really was not bad. None of us got sick. Although we don’t ever get car sick or anything like that.
There is all kinds of food to eat. Fancy and not so fancy. It was the best!
I would say if you are really wanting to check out one of the stops, you should fly there. Cruising is more so for the fun of being on the ship. They only give you 5-6 hours of being on each island. The excursions were pretty fun and there are a lot to choose from.
Here are a few things that I would suggest if you decide to go on one.
⁃ Bring a lanyard to hold your shop card. You need it for everything.
⁃ Order drinks to be in your fridge like water bottles or bring your own water bottle to fill up.
⁃ Lots of sunníes
⁃ Lots of sunscreen
⁃ We brought our own towels, because I didn’t want to worry about losing them. (They’ll charge $40 if not returned)
⁃ Lots of swimsuits
⁃ Cash for when you’re off on the ports.
⁃ Fancy clothes for formal night
⁃ Portable charger
⁃ AirPods/earphones
⁃
